UPDATE:
Unofficially, Peter Burling has taken out the 2013 Australian Moth Nationals with Scott Babbage securing second with a day to spare. Well done guys!!!
With all this talk about AC72’s foiling and what not, another little foiler slipped past the keeper this week! The 2013 Australian Moth Nationals are currently on (6th-12th January) being held in Wangi, Lake Macquarie, New South Wales with a fleet of 69 boats.

Kiwi Kiwi Kiwi!
Peter Burling, fresh from his Silver medal at the London Olympics, has jumped back in the Moth with apparently no issues and is currently Mr Consistency with an 11 Point lead after 10 races with a 5th placing being his current drop.
Nathan Outeridge, who took Gold in the 49er in London ahead of Burling, has been struggling throughout the regatta with a boat that is literally cracking under the pressure leaving him to nurse the boat around the course obliterating his chances. He is 12th after 10 races, 90 points behind Burling.
Scott Babbage (currently top of the Australians), every little Auzzie girls favourite sailor, is sitting second showing very consistent form with his worst race being an 8th.
Other notable names in the line up; Tom Slingsby (Gold in the laser at London) is 6th on 44 points and Iain Jensen (Gold in the 49er in London with Outeridge) sitting in 8th on 53 points.
