Day 2 of the Laser Worlds at Hayling Island wasn’t the best for the Aussies. So therefore I don’t really have much to say!
Laser Worlds – Day 3

After a crappy Day 2 the Aussies reclaimed some pride with Tom Slingsby winning both races in his flight and Ashley Brunning finishing third in both for his flight.
It was a perfect day on the water again and you would be ok thinking that you were anywhere else in the world – but this is England! The English Riviera.

The Aussies have scattered to get a good nights rest before the final two races of the qualifying series.
Laser Worlds – Day 4
As Tom Slingsby scooted into first place in the 2010 Laser World Championships I ventured to the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy to chat with the guys who run the learn to sail program and to check out the location of the 2012 Olympic Games.
I fell in love with Weymouth. It’s such a beautiful seaside town with a magnificent Victorian feel. Definitely a place to visit if anyone is ever down that way.
So I really have no idea what happened at the Worlds today apart from knowing that an Aussie is leading (woo!!!!!)
Back at Hayling Island Sailing Club tomorrow.

The Australian flag as it was seen on Tuesday 1 September 2010
At 2210 last night (Thursday 2 September), the Australian flag was kidnapped from the international flagpoles at the 2010 Laser World Championships at the UK.
The culprits were caught in CCTV.
If you know who took it, or if was you, then please return it to Hayling Island Sailing Club immediately!
If an Australian gets a place there will be no flag flying behind him on the podium…
Please return the Aussie flag!!!
The RYA flag was also stolen… But we don’t really care about that one.
The running joke at the club is that they replace the missing Australian flag with a Black Flag… Tom Slingsby was Black Flagged in race 9…
