40th Contender World Championship

Our first post for 2010 is to let you all know that we will be frantic over the next 5 days running the 40th Contender World Championship at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron.
Yesterday we finished the 2010 Contender Australian Championship and it was awesome to see fellow organiser Matt Mulder take the title with a race to space.
Sail-World.com is the media partner for the regatta and are onsite to write daily reports and updates.

What’s in a Name?
After several years hiatus from racing whilst I’ve been running a sailing school, I’ve suddenly found my weekends are mine again. Given my life long dream has been to be nothing exactly like skiffboy, the plan is to start racing a 12′ skiff.
The idea of naming a boat has been tossed around, and there’s over 70 suggestions already over on the LSD forums for Cool/Funny/Weird boat names. None are good enough yet to convince me to want to remove the old name. So lets have it LSD… what’s your best boat name ideas?
