Former Laser Radial sailor Krysal Weir, who narrowly missed her chance to represent Australia in the Radial for the 2008 Beijing Olympics has impressed the sailing world like a fine diamond at Tiffany’s.
Teaming up with Nicky Bethwaite’s crew, Karyn Gojnich and Angela Farrell (Nicky was dropped due to her continuing injuries from a cycling accident), Weir showed that Laser sailors can branch out into other classes after they placed 2nd at the Yngling World Championships in Miami.
And they are off to the Olympics.
After only 8 weeks of sailing together, these fine sailors have proved they have the talent to be in the medal contention in Beijing.
