What else would you do?
February 1st, 2008
With the Beijing Olympics approaching us we are soon going to be bombarded with many different sports that grab our attention.
After the Australian Open (Tennis), tennis racket sales increased considerably. After the Soccer (Football) World Cup, more and more people of all ages found their own soccer ball and were hitting the local pitch more than ever. At the beginning of a new sporting season the nerves and excitement run wild as a new adventure opens up.
So what would you be doing if you were not a sailing fanatic? I say fanatic due to the opinionated responses sparked behind the pages of the LSD Forums. We are fanatics as we are fantasied by the skill, tack and sheer romance that is sailing.
If I was not into sailing then soccer would be my first choice, followed closely by baseball and or ice hockey. Sports that are completely different to not only each other, but to sailing as well. Non of them require water, apart from ice hockey, which is frozen water.
So what else would you do if you were not a sailor? Where would you be today and what do you think you would be doing on your weekends if time wasn’t spent in, on and around the water…?

Word in the wind is that Ronstan or Harken USA is to pimp and distribute a new range of Puma Sailing Gear to assist with promoting Puma’s entry into the 2008/2009 Volvo Ocean Race.
The new gear, aimed to suit the needs of a sailor is said to be mainly red and inline with the graphical design that is displayed on the topsides of the Puma Volvo 70.

Live Sail Die on Facebook
February 5th, 2008
We’ve had a few cool things going on Facebook for a while now. For those who aren’t one of the millions of people worldwide who has joined facebook, now is a great time to do so. Facebook has over 64 million active members worldwide, and Australia is the 4th most popular country for users (after the US, Canada and the UK).
So once you’re a member, the first thing you should do… long before you find your friends… or even write down your password… is to join the Live Sail Die group. You can jump there right now by clicking the below image:
Now you’ve done that… it’s time to spruce up your profile. Sure you could add applications like ‘Am I good kisser?’ and ‘What kind of cupcake am I?’ but even better would be the LiveSailDie application. It puts all the latest LiveSailDie news directly onto your profile. How cool is that! Just click the image below and add it to your profile!
We’d love to hear any feedback you have on the group and the app… how we can make the app better… or what you’d like to see next. A random lsd sailing photo for your profile perhaps?
