Sailing & Playing, Playing & Sailing!

Spring is the best time to be living in South East Queensland and it’s also the perfect time to hit the water whether you are passionate about racing, cruising or generally just having an awesome time with your mates. It’s also the ideal time of the year to teach and encourage the next generation about sailing.
It’s all about timing!!!
And it’s that time again. The time when Johnsee and I lose all sense of everything and take on the kids providing them with activities ranging from fishing, sailing, treasure hunts, sailing, powerboat adventures, sailing, raft building, sailing, knots and splicing, sailing, sailing science and heaps of sailing!
Today saw 43 youngsters hit the water in vagabonds, status 19s and a yngling. 43 brand new sailors with 15 bright eyed Sailing School Instructors all hitting Moreton Bay to lap up the gorgeous weather that Mother Nature presented us with.
Over the next four days the sailing and playing will continue and there is even a day trip to a nearby island just to top the week off as a fantastic experience for these new sailors.
What a week for OG and Johnsee!!! The launch of Ask Huey and the LSD e-Mag, Sail & Play and just the general managing of the Sailing School, Live Sail Die, The Globecast and everything else we manage to fill our day with!
But it’s all worth it at the end of the day when you see how happy the kids are. All the effort seems to be rewarded with just that one little smile…
