Steve “The Crocodile Hunter” Irwin was struck down in his prime by a stringray off Port Douglas at approximately 11am today.

It’s a sad day in Australian history because this guy bent the barriers and like a bull at a gate belted himself into the limelight simply by doing what he does best. Being himself.
People from all over the world would flock to his home, “Australia Zoo” to catch a glimps of him in action. Even though I only live a short drive away, I too was also star struck, and three years ago was lucky enough to witness a live crocodile feeding show by the man himself. He was exaclty the same as how he is portrayed on screen.
