There’s a fair amount of “WANG” involved
Five days in and finally online.
Right now it’s Sunday afternoon and I’m sitting on the Palm Beach 50 sipping a refreshing glass of Pinor Noir whilst the rest of the crew is hooking into the Tooheys New.
There’s a fair amount of “WANG” involved in this regatta. “WANG”. I have never heard this expression used before, however appartently I posses a fair amount of “WANG”.
Three days of racing have passed and although we have managed to cut both a halyard and jib sheet, as well as go prawn trawling with our kite and lose a kite bag overboard we have had an awesome time on the water.
Sea Bogan, Toykotrashbaby, Milf Hunter and Curzon are also in Whitsunday heaven and they will say their racing in proving to be a little more successful than the crew of Quest.
The talent is on board, Roger Hickman, Gary Boyd and Sally Gordon (google them) are teaching us punters from Brisbane a thing or two about hard core yacht racing. We are teaching them about the off water antics they need to experience to make the regatta worth while!
There is heaps more to report on, however I’m on the wireless internet so I need to log off, head to the beer tent and make up stories about today’s racing.
Stay tuned for more! Soon…!!!
