No Sailing at the Commonwealth Games?

Can someone please tell me why Sailing is not a Commonwealth Games sport???

I mean COME ON! How can they classify Aquatics Synchronised Swimming as an elite sport but not hard core yacht racing?

It totally baffles me every four years when the countries of the Queens Commonwealth come together in an event that captures possibly half the world’s population, however sailing is nowhere to be seen. Even the Queen has boats and access to yachts galore, but still no flag for sailing in what is meant to be a showcase of the most agile athletes in the Commonwealth.

I’m looking for answers here!!! If you know why sailing is not considered good enough to be a sport represented at the Commonwealth Games, then please tell me.

If no one has a decent excuse for why it isn’t, then I think LSD should attempt to do something about it…
