How non-sailors learn about the sport
With the 2008 Olympic Games just 2 short years away, athletes are gearing up and training hard to ensure their place on the team and to represent their country at the worlds largest sporting event. (Outside the Football [Soccer] World Cup.)
I was looking through the Beijing Olympic Website and stumbled across a very interesting feature. It’s quite awesome and teaches you all you need to know about the various disciplines featured at the event.
Naturally I was interested in what they thought about sailing, and even though it still has the 2004 Games branding, and still showcased the Europe Dinghy as a womens class, it is actually quite good and explains sailing well.
